About the Organization:

Job Description:
The Enforcement Officer will perform all regulatory and field operations required for the implementation of the Act and related scheduled laws, including inspections, enforcement actions, and necessary punitive measures within the assigned jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute orders of the SDEOs to enforce scheduled laws effectively.
  • Develop strategies, implement prescribed measures, and coordinate with other agencies to prevent offences under the scheduled laws.
  • Conduct enforcement operations in accordance with the Act, including inspections, searches, and sealing of public or private property.
  • Record and report all inspections and field activities to the SDEO daily.
  • Ensure regular patrolling and inspections within the designated area of jurisdiction.
  • Conduct inspections to:
    • Monitor compliance with orders issued under the Act
    • Collect electronic or other evidence for investigations
    • Act on credible information from whistleblowers or departmental references
  • Exercise authority to inspect, search, and seize any items, goods, articles, property, or vehicles related to offences under the scheduled laws.
  • Arrest offenders and report to the Hearing Officer, using reasonable force if necessary.
  • File complaints and ensure FIR registration as prescribed.
  • Issue notices or summons to offenders or relevant persons and ensure proper service.
  • Remove encroachments (movable/immovable) using necessary measures and prescribed force.
  • Determine enforcement costs and facilitate their recovery.
  • Initiate and conduct inquiries as prescribed under the Act.
  • Impose and recover fines from offenders, within the prescribed limits.
  • Issue Emergency Protection Orders (EPOs) as per the Act.
  • Perform all functions while equipped with audio/video recording devices.
  • Exercise any powers conferred by the Government or delegated under the Act, rules, or regulations.

Required Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least a Graduate Degree 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university will be considered an added advantage.

Salary & Benefits:
