About the Organization:

Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO)

Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) is a non-profit organization started in May 2003 and registered under Section 42 of Pakistan’s Companies Act. It works for the welfare and development of poor rural communities in Sindh with the support of the Government of Sindh.

The Government of Sindh has provided an endowment fund to SRSO, which increased from PKR 500 million to PKR 1 billion, so the organization can continue its development programs. Its main goal is to reduce poverty by helping rural people improve their living conditions and become self-reliant.

SRSO works by organizing local communities into three groups: Community Organizations (COs), Village Organizations (VOs), and Local Support Organizations (LSOs). These groups help people work together, solve their problems, and take part in development activities. Special focus is given to empowering women through training, small loans, and income-generating opportunities.

SRSO also works on building basic facilities like roads, schools, and water supply systems. It supports farmers in better use of natural resources, provides health insurance, helps poor families build affordable houses, and promotes small businesses.

Currently, SRSO is working in 15 districts of Sindh to improve the lives of rural families by creating better opportunities for education, health, employment, and sustainable livelihoods.

 

Required Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least a Graduate Degree.
