Environment Protection & Climate Change Department, Punjab —

The Environment Protection & Climate Change Department (EP&CCD) of the Government of Punjab plays a vital role in protecting the province’s environment and responding to the challenges of climate change. The Department works to ensure that development across Punjab takes place in a sustainable manner, without compromising public health, natural ecosystems, or future generations.

One of the core responsibilities of EP&CCD is the formulation and implementation of environmental policies and laws. The Department regulates industrial, municipal, and development activities by enforcing environmental standards, conducting environmental impact assessments, and monitoring pollution levels. Through these measures, it aims to control air, water, soil, and noise pollution while encouraging cleaner production methods and effective waste management practices.

Addressing climate change is a key priority of the Department. EP&CCD leads provincial efforts focused on climate change mitigation and adaptation, including the integration of climate considerations into planning and development processes. The Department works to strengthen the resilience of communities, conserve biodiversity, and promote the use of renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies.

In addition, EP&CCD actively collaborates with federal institutions, international organizations, research bodies, civil society, and the private sector to implement impactful environmental initiatives. Qualification & Experience

Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification and experience as laid down in the relevant Service Rules of the Environment Protection & Climate Change Department, Government of the Punjab.

Written Test

A single MCQs-based written examination carrying 100 marks will be conducted with a duration of 90 minutes.
